Train for the audition. Not just the material.

A summer intensive for high school performers in Henderson, Nevada.

June 15 – August 9, 2026 · Limited to 8 performers

If you’ve ever walked out of an audition thinking,“That’s not what I know I can do…” this program is for you.

Most performers prepare their material. Fewer are trained in how to perform under audition conditions. You can sing it. You can act it. You’ve rehearsed it over and over. And then you walk into the room… …and something changes. It doesn’t feel the same. It doesn’t come out the same. It doesn’t land the same. That gap isn’t about talent. It’s about how you perform when it matters most.

The plank.

Imagine walking a 12-foot plank lying on the floor of your living room. Now, imagine that same plank suspended between two skyscrapers.

Same plank. Same walk. Completely different experience.

That’s the audition room.

Same voice. Same body. Same technique.

Different conditions.
Different version of you shows up.

Most training teaches you the skill.

This program trains you to use it
under pressure, over and over again.

A repeatable audition system you can use long after the program ends.

  • Walk into auditions with a clear, repeatable mental approach

  • Manage nerves instead of being thrown off by them

  • Perform with presence, focus, and authenticity under pressure

  • Evaluate your auditions with a structured process (not guesswork)

  • Make adjustments and carry them into the next audition

  • Build consistency across auditions—not just “good days”

By the end of the program, you will:

Most summer programs ask you to give up your summer to attend them.

This one doesn't.

Families travel. Kids have camps, vacations, and family commitments, and they should. The Ready for the Room intensive was intentionally designed to hold a meaningful structure across the summer without holding your schedule hostage.

Here's how it works:

Your five private sessions are self-scheduled directly with me, at your pace, around your life. Want to spread them out across the full eight weeks? Done. Need to front-load before a trip? We can do that too. The only anchor the whole group shares is the Cohort Audition, a 2–3-hour live studio experience scheduled collaboratively between July 24 and August 5.

That's one shared date. Everything else bends to you.

What doesn't bend is the arc. Sessions happen in sequence — Baseline, then Coaching, then the Cohort Audition, then Integration — because the work builds on itself. But the pace between them? That's yours.

The structure is the program. The schedule is yours.

High school performers preparing for high-stakes auditions.

  • College auditions for theatre, music theatre, and conservatory programs

  • BFA and Music Theatre programs

  • Competitions, showcases, and senior-year audition cycles

  • Their first high-stakes audition season, and the seasons that follow.

If you’re a performer who’s stronger in rehearsal than in auditions — this is for you.

If you’ve been told you’re talented, but you spiral when it matters — this is for you.

If you want to walk into the room as yourself, not as a tighter, more anxious version of yourself — this is the way.

Antonette Cohen

P E R F O R M A N C E P S Y C H O L O G Y C O N S U L T A N T , M . S .

I help performers train their minds the same way they train their voice, body, and craft.

I came to this work through twenty years of professional performance, including a decade as Dance Captain for WICKED on Broadway. In every cast I worked with, I noticed the same thing: everyone had enough talent to be there. The difference between good and great was almost never technique—it was the mental side.

I went on to study sport and performance psychology—the field behind the mental training used by Olympians, professional athletes, astronauts, and elite military teams.

Through my practice, Liminal Rise, I work with performers across disciplines, with particular care for young artists preparing for the audition years that shape the start of their careers.

My approach is science with a soul—grounded in research, and grounded in the real human experience of performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Five private in-office sessions, one live cohort audition experience, two recorded auditions (before and after), the Inner Slate Assessment administered at the start and close, and a personalized audition preparation plan.

The five private sessions break down across the four program phases: one 75-minute Baseline session, three 55-minute Coaching sessions, and one 75-minute Integration session. All five are self-scheduled directly with Antonette, at whatever pace works for your family across the summer.

The one shared commitment is the Cohort Audition: a 2–3 hour live studio experience scheduled collaboratively with the full group, sometime between July 24 and August 5.

  • The Inner Slate Assessment measures what’s happening for you before, during, and after an audition. It combines a cognitive self-report (your thoughts and self-talk) with a somatic check-in (what’s happening in your body). Used alongside your audition recordings, it gives a clear picture of what’s actually changing.

  • Ideally, your performer should come in as they would for an audition.

    • 2 contrasting songs (32-bar cuts, ~60–90 seconds each)
Please bring an instrumental track for each

    • 1–2 contrasting monologues (~60–90 seconds each)

    • Headshot and resume (if available)

This program trains how they perform their material (not the material itself) so it’s important we have something real to work with from the start.

If your performer isn’t fully prepared yet, we’ll help them get there. But, the more complete their material is coming in, the more they’ll get out of the process.

  • All sessions are held in person at The Stage: 2510 Anthem Village Dr # 150, Henderson, NV 89052
1:1 sessions take place in a private studio.
The cohort audition takes place in a larger dance studio.

  • June 15 – August 9, 2026.
The cohort audition will be scheduled collaboratively with the full group, sometime between July 24 and August 5.

Private sessions are scheduled individually across the summer.

  • Maximum 8. Minimum 4.
The program is intentionally small to keep coaching personalized.

  • $1,295
$1,195 if reserved by June 1.

  • Yes. Both auditions are professionally recorded and shared privately with you.
They are never used publicly without explicit consent.

  • This program is designed for high school performers preparing for college auditions, BFA / Music Theatre programs, or any high-stakes audition cycle.

It’s especially valuable for performers who feel like they don’t show up the same way in the room as they do in rehearsal, or whose nerves get in the way of their actual ability.

But it’s not just for performers who are struggling.

It’s also for performers who are already strong and want a competitive edge and a more consistent, reliable way to perform when it matters most.

If you’re not sure, email me and we’ll talk before you commit.

  • Before June 1: full refund (less $100 admin fee)
    June 1–June 15: 50% refund
After June 15: no refunds, but we’ll work to accommodate missed sessions

Note: If minimum enrollment isn’t met by June 12, full refunds will be issued. You’ll be notified in advance if the program is at risk of not running.
